Artist Statement for "Solace"

 "My theme is inspired by the solace I find while being in nature when I am seeking direction and a refuge from the stresses of life. Adolescence is a transitional time. It is difficult to make decisions because there are many possible pathways one can choose to pursue. My theme involves a spiritual aspect of divine assistance to navigate through life, and I feel the most clear-minded and receptive when I am engulfed in nature. Since my theme is somewhat of an intangible concept, my theme is implied through tranquil scenes in nature & symbolism while other paintings include actual personages."
